  25/1/25 - 31/1/25 - Peaches and Plums For this design i wanted to experiment with using some more colours. This does make the design process more complicated as i need to also make sure nothing clashes and need to think on what element should be what colour. However i think because i kept the green i used for the other ones, it made it a bit easier as i have a premade outline colour that i could use as well as the other colours. This idea started as i notice plumbs and peaches looked very similar to each other and wanted a way to help tell them apart, from this i also planned how i can do this with other pairs for future designs. This is the first work in process photo i have for this design. This is my second work in process for this design. However, this one also work as it own photo as it looks complete. 25/1/25 - 31/1/25 - all digital works from before the final one, and minus the colour one i made This is the first design i made, i like how it turned out but looking at my newer ones it seems to 'simple' compare to them. This one was based on the ceramic ones i made, and i find that it works for that purpose but it is not as visually strong as the rest, I also found the line work it self to be too sketchy and armature then the newer one. This style worked well with my hand made book i did last year, but not for this and i found that it isn't fully using the assessable i have when it comes to digital work. It is not as clean as i would like it. This is my first (and only) attempt as doing a much simple one. Thursday 30th January 2025 Today I had a talk with Julian on what I am making and the 'purpose' of what I'm doing. From this I found out I didn't really know why I'm making what i am other then just making it. After talking to Julian for longer he helped me in starting to think in what I'm doing and doing a performance element to the piece, focusing on the love element, doing something with other people. I started thinking about doing planning a community/workshop type thing, getting a small group of us to work together on putting sections of fabric/ceramic together. I spent the rest of the day thinking in this and seeing what possible as well as talking to other people to get other opinions and perspective.  After speaking to my classmates and the print tech, I chose to do silk screen printed panels of fabric and do a 2 phase community base photo/video performance. 21/1/25 - Making the slabs + experiments Today I went down to the ceramic studio to start making some slabs. It tock a couple of tries before i got the right thinness for the clay, the tech also recommended using some cutters (like cookie cutter) to make it easier to make many shapes. I found this helpful however i also found the square one hard to use (edit later - I did get a 3rd shapes to try out but didn't end up going back down to use it). I tried doing a small experiment with using lace (like my lace sample idea) however they no longer had their box of lace and i didn't have any on me, i tried with the lace they did have but it was too fine and didn't show up well on the clay. I did a couple experiments of patterns into the clay, however i did not have a plan when starting this and only ended up doing a couple (only keeping one) before giving up and planning to make designs for the rest.
