Editing some photos 30th November 2023 On Friday i started to pick and edit my photos, i descided to focus on one person at a time for this. For my editing i chose to do a soft filter at 200, with a vignette black boarder on, i also made all of the images squared. I chose the black vignette boarder over the other ones as i like the more soft look to the boarder over the harsh lines. I chose to use the soft filter as it added a warm tone to the image and gives me the look of the images being a memory or a documentaion of time. On Friday i also collected some lace that i would like to experment with, i chose to use some lace as it relates to the history of both Nottingham and the college. Photos

  November  2023 I explored old kids media such as 80s fansaty as well as other times such as early 2000 shows that i grew up with. I want to look at shoes with an odd, not so kid, elements ti them, mostly shows that alot of kids was scared off or shows. The Hoobs The Hoobs is an early 2000 show that i watch as a kid. This show is about aliens, shown by fluffy puppets, that go on advesnytures in a magical bus and report back to their home world. I chose to look at this show because it is something i personally enjoyed as a kid, as well as the bright puppets they use in the show.   New photo idea + Start of collecting images 29th November 2023 On Wednesday morning i decinded to explore the idea of documenting art students. I like the idea from the begginning of documenting people at work and decided to carry on that idea but with differnt people. I chose to documeny/photograth art students, especially students im currently working with and student in courses i previoulsy have done, as is it apart of my own world and im also able to get more photos easier than if it was of other workers. I started to photograth some students in my course as well as a staff member and student in the A-Level art course, and made sure to get theri permision for their image to be used before i tock the images. 

  Glazing clay experiments + House slip 29th November 2023 On Wednesday afternoon i did my first slip cast of my house. This came out succesfull, however it did crack a bit at the bottome possible from speeding up the drying porcess. I added the holes into the top of this one however im going to make the house thicker next time i add holes to make sure the piece is stabled enough.  My houses sample experiments bisked fired sucessfully, i deiced to do some glazing expeiments with these using boht dip and paint on glaze. I did this to see how each type reacts to the clay. Photos

  November  2023 Photography that involves hiding the face/idenity of the sitter. The Two serises involving makes have a sureal creepy look to them, what does not fit my personal work as i am going for a more cute odd look to them, however their work relates to the concept of hidden idenity that i am workign with as well as my idea of hidding the face with masks. The Mask Series: Inge Morath & Saul Steinberg This serise by Morath and Steinberg involves a serise of photographs, mostly instead of a home, where the sitters are wearing a paperbag to cover their face. I like the courise, odd look of the masks he uses, having a funny element to it while also being unselttling. Photo exploration + Other 28th November 2023 On Tuesday i did some photo experiments as well as some quick sketches on a idea of creating little worlds with ghosts farming in it.  My first photo experiments is photographing  classmates wearing a sheet over their head, like a ghost. I like the way the fabric foldered as well as the sheernes, you can still see the person underneath the sheet a bit. I would like to explore this with my digital photos as well. I later did some photogarths where i got the modle to hold an object, i did this to help me understand how holding objets would work for kater drawings, however the object i uses, being a broken clock, brings an intresting effect to the images that i did not inend, but i likt the idea. Like a ghost holding onto town, the broken clock as symbolise the end of one time, being life.  I did my second photo experiment at home, where i explored my idea of using a mask to hide the identy of the sitter. November  2023 Artist who work ontop of photograpths and artist who work with the concept of ghosts in a playful, childlike way. Angela Deane Deane paints simple ghosts figures on top of found photographs. She works with the idea of a momenent in time dying but yet still being pesant, her work being about time, memory and nestigia. In her way of painting over the figures in the paintings, she gets rid of their idenity as well as the memory the photo is showin or hold however she does create a sense of courosirty to her images. She also makes room for people to let their imagination to run wild. Despite her work getting rid of a personal element to it, it still creats a story. With her use of a simple, plain form she creates can create a sense of familarity to her work for some viewers, as they can project their personal memories onto the images due to the lack of orignialoty between the figures.  She has also added faces onto plant life, that has a whimical silly look.
