Planning the final design, making it and colouring

This is some sketches i did of fruit/vegetables i could use in the final design. I think i made this before i created the 'peaches and plums' design.

These are some of my plans and sketches for this design, i chose to do this first so i can work out what to use and just get things down. I also wanted to use this so i could go back to it to see how things would be drawn and to make sure all of the elements i wanted in the work is in the work.

This is is the base i used when creating it. I wanted to use from one of my existing pieces, using it as a guide line. However I only used this to draw in some guide lines and then didn't use it after.

These are the two final designs. They went through a lot of changes, especially a section in the middle as i did not like how it originally looked and wanted to change it. I used some tools i didn't think about using, such as duplicating slides and moving one of them, so all of the same design can be in mutiple places (this can be seen with the flowers on the outside as well as the outer boarder. I also used this to make the swirls along thing to be the same on each side. I did a similar technique as i did the with peaches and plumbs, where i used the center flower for the corner, but with different detailing.

I wanted to experiment with colours, i did this where i used it as a colour pages. I really enjoyed doing this, finding it very relaxing, and it was a good way for me to better visualize how my work would look once it is coloured. I wanted to do another one of these but with the colours i picked for the thread.

I coloured picked from a photo of my thread so i can do a second coloring session with more accurate colours, the only issue i notice with these is one of the greens is more yellow on the digital one then it is in person.

This is the second coloring i did, to make it more accurate to what it could look like once it is coloured.
