30/1/25 - Talk with Tony
After my talk with Julian and i chose what i want to do, i went up to the print workshop to talk to Tony. He recommended going down to fashion to do heat transfer, but said that i can also do silk screen, i chose to do the silkscreen as i knew i would be able to get it done in a week and cause I'm aware the heat transfer at fashion is very warm tone, something I didn't want for my work. My original plan was to use the peach/plum piece i was working on before however after talking with tony, this piece is too complicated to use as it has more then 3 colours (each tone of colour if counted as a separate one). Cause of this I planed to think over the weekend on what best to do, and possibly make a new design/s.

4/2/25 - Issues with sending + getting the plastic
For the silkscreen i wanted to use a type of plastic (forgot the name of it) that Paul can print onto. This plastic can be used for making the screen instead for Tony using oil on paper. I had some issue with sending him the images but manage to work it out - my partner did the scaling for me, he sent me it though discord and i saved the image from that but that cause the issue, as discord compressed the photo and made i smaller. I manage to get it resent through google docs and that worked for printing. (NOTE to self, make sure this plastic doesn't get wet). - also accidently sent the document as the dark green but it worked fine.
I like how these prints turned out and would like to experiment with using this plastic for other work, maybe sewing/adding elements to it.

6/2/25 - 7/2/25 - Doing the prints
This afternoon I went up to the print studio to do my prints onto fabric. I cut the fabric sheet in the morning, realizing that i should have made the image a bit smaller then 15inches as there is no room for small errors, as it has to fit perfectly into the fabric. I did not mind that much for this work but I will keep in mind for if i do it again. After doing some of the fabric prints, I notice that they all was coming out patchy in the same area, after speaking to Tony on it, this was caused by the screen being made for paper prints not fabric prints. I carried on with doing 6 of each and did some paper prints of the fruit version, (edit later - I wish that i didn't do the extra prints after knowing the issue, but i had enough of the good print to do what i wanted to do) We planed for me to return the following day in the afternoon to do new prints with a new screen.
The following day I can back and did some more prints, the fabric ones, the vegetables ones on paper to watch the ones i did the day before and i did two canvases as well as some smaller ones. I notice that a lot are blurry on the smaller one but think this is from over printing it. I like how all of these came out.

Once i collected the prints, i did two experiments of turning them into one page books. The first one was done with a small scale watercolour one, i like how this turned out however the paper was too thick and cause it to rip. I also really like how the second one turned out, this one was one of the large pages with the design in the middle. I think it will be interesting to add some text or something else onto the side where there is gaps.

The plastic sheets.

Cutting the fabric

Mixing the ink/pain. The top one was too light for what i wanted so i made it darker. I used a white based and added black and a little bit of green. I like how it came out but wish was a little darker, couldn't make darker as ran out of the black.

The first fabric prints, they came out patchy and was patchy in the same area.

Some process/final photos of my paper ones - i made more then what is shown
