Nick Tandavanitj - Blast Theory

Their website

Today we had a talk on the performance group, Blast Theory, given by one of their founders, Nick Tandavanitj. They made interactive art, being formed in 1991, they often explore social and pollical questions, using unsettling and unusual experiences to create new views and to open up to the idea of change. They have created a mix of things, from games, apps, films, performances and insulations, and also uses pop culture and new tech within their work.

I enjoyed this talk, it was inresting to heard about these performances and to be aware of more art that is happening that i was not aware of. While i found it to be intresting, it is not the type of work i am intrested in my self.

In this talk, Nick spoke about a hand full of the work they have done, These being, 'Kidnap', 'Can you see me now?', 'A machine to see with, 'My one demand' and 'Spit spreads death'.
