Plaster mold for ceramic

Plaster or ceramics - ceramics could look more pretty and can experiment with different glazes - plaster  can do more quicker, can add paper into it and not need to transfer the images on - want to use plaster as can do more experiments quicker and it still is strong.

Plastic sheet books - 4 attempts - struggle with keeping the curve - the final two attempts have holes that will have to fill with clay - works for experiments but don't want to use for final mold

Latex molds at home
I wanted to do a mold similar to silicone that i could do at home however i didn't want to use silicone due to how much it would cost and i have no prior experience with making molds. I also wanted to use something that is more ecofriendly, after doing some research i chose to try making latex rubber molds.

My first attempt at this didn't work, i used two complex shapes that ripped and my flat shape was too thin to keep it shape. The latex also kept on sticking to itself while being removed and once it was removed, i think this was due to not using any baby powder to get rid of the sticking.
Attempt 2 - success - 3 round long molds, only use the larger two for experiments

Experiments with adding paper - pouring plaster over, some got covered by plaster - sticking paper to mold first, was more successful and could see the papers - on both experiments there was some pieces of paper that started to rip due to the water, these was mostly on the thinner pieces.

how make mold with cover - latex? (abandoned, found a way that works)

gelfelx mold - works and will use - flat bottom where cover should be - will make own cover to make the mold making easier and more simple
