December 2023 I explored some mix media artist who work in a more textile/fiber media as well as patch work. Libby Williamson Williamson creates fiber art, using layers of paint, dye, print, fabric and other. She creates a lot of work that resembles elements of the natural world, such as plants and the patterns/textures found on trees. I like the close up details she creates with her stitch work, creating a piece that people can stay and look at for a while, finding new shapes/patterns within the stitch work. I also like her use of colours in her projects, having a limited colour pallet, where she use moslty colours from one colour family such as teal/greens but adding some other colours like brown/reds that compliment the more dominate colour, i also like that she uses more muted colours.  Williamson has also created a piece that shows 3 figures, I like the simplisty of this peice in her shapes, however having a more complext look through her colours, these ccolou...

Lino 14th December 2023 I notice that even when my ink has dried on the farbric, there is a chance it can rub of onto peaople hands, esspicall kids if they play with it alot. To stop this from happening i plan to cover it with my sheer farbric, this also makes the prints less bolds and will make it so the peices will not fray.

Workshop - 3D

Glaze Experiments/Other 133th December 2023 On Wednesday i did two glaze experiments, one creating a rust like look and the other creating bubbles. I also tock my second slip cast out, this cast got stuck in the mould and had to br brocken for it ti be removed. With these broken peices i expeirmented with stacking them, creating huts like peices. These peices are building new home/sheltesr from and old one, reminding me of rubble from homes after natural diasters, what have been turned into tempary shelters.  I also experimented with shadows using these, creating 2d peices with the shadows that reminds me of rock formations.   Sizing Photos 5th December 2023 On Tuesday i decided on the sizing of my images. I experimented with different sizes and amount of sizes and chose to do two sizes, one for each size pillow, being 2 and 3 inches. I chose those images as i can fit multiples images on one page and i can also use both sizes on both pillows, i chose to do 2 sizes to limit the amount of images to chose from but i still wanted deferent sizing options.
